The idea for this concept came from a Task that I had been set by one of my tutors from University, we were tasked with using an idea generator for games. We had three ideas to chose from and the idea I chose was 'Detective Platformer game set in the Wild West with a core mechanic based on Countering'.

Overall Theme:-

The Game is set in the Wild West during the Cow-Boys and Indians era. The game will come under the Platformer/ Action Genre. The main character will be a Cow-Boy Sheriff, a local bank that has been robbed by a person who lives within the area but the Sheriff didn't arrive in time to stop him. Now the Sheriff's job is to play detective and find the culprit.

Environment Design:-

It will be set outside where the player will be able to see the sandy ground, Old-Western Style buildings, and in the background: the sandy dunes. The player will be able to enter some of the buildings, at a maximum of three, this is so that they can explore and look for clues. The Buildings they can enter are the Bank and 2 residence houses, when the buildings have been entered the scene will change to an area where there are a couple of platforms for the player to navigate and there will be an enemy or two in there that will need hitting with the lasso to disappear.

Interaction Design:-

The player will move around the scene using their keyboard, to be more specific, the player will use A and S(Left and Right) to move, and then there will be the option for them to use their mouse's click to select things in-game. Two other keys that the player will use are E and F, E will be for entering buildings and F will be for attacking with the lasso.

The game will include text telling the player what to do at the start of the game and throughout the game.

Some Scripts that I will need are: A Player Movement Script, Enemy Movement Script.

This is my idea of the end concept of the game.
